Highlights: Gluten-Free and Allergy Free Lifestyle Research Study

The Gluten-Free Media Group recently conducted a study titled, "Gluten Free and Allergen Friendly Lifestyles: Past, Present and Future" and I found the results really interesting! There were over 16,000 respondents from the 2017 survey, which were compared to those collected in 2007.

Highlights:

Below shows that taste still reigns supreme when shoppers are looking for gluten and allergen free options.

I'd like to better understand why the label and facility aren't ranked as highly - is it because individuals already know what brands and items fall into these categories?


Interestingly enough - taste falls down the priority list for dining out, with an allergen or gluten free menu listed as most important.


The travel challenges definitely reign true, and I would agree with the respondents!!
